Description

We should prefer the use of inclusive terms in our software and in its development.
This policy should be mentioned in the CONTRIBUTING document (still being drafted).
We should switch from using 'master' to 'main' for the main git branch.
We should gradually migrate to gender-neutral terminology when describing decays, e.g. "daughters" -> "children".
